Consecrated in 1970, the Lodge of Hospitality has spent more than half a century living up to its name and its motto.
The Lodge of Hospitality No. 8325 was consecrated on 22nd August 1970 and took its place on the register of the United Grand Lodge of England within the Province of Worcestershire. From that first meeting to the present day, the Lodge has been led by an unbroken succession of Worshipful Masters.
The name is fitting. In the ritual and tradition of Freemasonry, hospitality is more than good manners — it is a duty of care towards others, a readiness to offer welcome, comfort and help to those who need it. That idea is carved, quite literally, into our crest.
Our crest shows two hands clasped in friendship and trust, set within a triangle of stone — a timeless symbol of strength, stability and mutual support. Around it runs our motto, “Mindful of the needs of others.”
The clasped hands speak of fellowship and of the helping hand we extend to one another and to the wider community. The stone recalls the working tools of the mason, from which Freemasonry draws its symbolism of building character and building bonds that last.
1970 — The Lodge is consecrated

2020 — Fifty years of hospitality
The Lodge marks its Golden Jubilee — half a century of friendship, ceremony and service.
Today — A living, welcoming Lodge
The Lodge continues to meet at Northfield Masonic Hall, welcoming new members and supporting the charitable work of Worcestershire Freemasons and the WFV.
More than fifty years on, the Lodge of Hospitality is still writing its story — and there’s a place in it for good men who share our values.
