Freemasonry is charity in action. Here’s how our Lodge, our Province and the Worcestershire Freemasons Volunteers put “mindful of the needs of others” into practice.
Freemasons are one of the largest charitable givers in the country. Across England and Wales, Freemasonry contributes many millions of pounds each year to good causes — and countless hours of volunteering — helping Masons, their families, and the wider public alike.
True to our name, the Lodge of Hospitality supports causes that matter to our members and our community — through fundraising at our meetings and events, and through personal giving to the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which we support through the United Grand Lodge of England.
Every donation, large or small, is part of a bigger picture of Masonic giving that reaches right across Worcestershire and beyond.
Worcestershire Freemasons
Lodges across the county
Our Lodge is one of more than 100 Lodges in the Province of Worcestershire, with around 2,500 members meeting in 13 centres across the county. Freemasonry has been part of Worcestershire life since 1733.
Through the Province and the Masonic Charitable Foundation — one of the largest grant-making charities in the country — Worcestershire Freemasons support healthcare, education, opportunity and independence.
Lodge of Hospitality is a supporter of The Worcestershire Freemasons Volunteers (WFV) who bring Masons together to give practical, hands-on help — a visible presence supporting community events, good causes and people in need across the county.
Lending a hand at community and charity events across Worcestershire — giving time and energy where it’s needed.
Backing local charities and community projects across Worcestershire, giving practical help and raising funds where they are needed most.
Showing Freemasonry at its best — friendly, generous and rooted in the communities where our members live and work.
Much of Freemasonry’s charitable giving flows through the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF), funded entirely by Freemasons and their families. The MCF supports people in need — both within and beyond the Masonic community — helping with everything from health and care to education and disaster relief.
Whether it’s the friendship, the ceremony or the chance to help others, there are many reasons men join Freemasonry — and the work we do together is one of the best.
